Offshore skippering techniques, inshore & offshore navigation and pilotage
In order to complete this course you should already have previous practical experience to Day Skipper practical and shorebased standard with at least 300 logged miles, 2 days as a skipper and a comprehensive knowledge of the coastal skipper shorebased syllabus. This course includes:
- handling the boat under power and demonstrating control in restricted spaces
- navigation offshore passge with organisation of charts
- pilotage including the opportunity for night sailing
- emergency situation and preparation for adverse weather
